Common questions
About UK cardiac MRI tele-reporting
What is cardiac MRI tele-reporting?
Cardiac MRI tele-reporting (CMR tele-reporting) is a service in which a specialist cardiologist interprets cardiac MRI scans remotely and delivers a written subspecialist report to the referring institution. Oxcardio is a UK-based cardiac MRI tele-reporting service, providing Level 3 CMR and cardiac CT reporting to hospitals across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa — with a 24-hour turnaround.
How does UK cardiac MRI reporting work for overseas hospitals?
We set up a secure DICOM transfer pathway between your scanner or PACS and our UK-based reporting workstations. Once a scan is completed at your institution, it is transmitted encrypted to our specialists, reported to Level 3 subspecialist standard, and a structured report is returned — typically within 24 hours. We handle all technical onboarding, including VPN setup and PACS integration.
Who provides cardiac MRI reporting in the UK for international hospitals?
Oxcardio was founded by Oxford and London-trained cardiologists holding triple accreditation from SCMR, EACVI and BSCI — among the highest credentials in cardiovascular imaging globally. We work exclusively with hospitals and imaging centres outside the UK, in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa, providing the same diagnostic standard as a referral to a leading UK academic centre.
What is the turnaround time for cardiac MRI reports?
Routine CMR and cardiac CT reports are delivered within 24 hours of scan receipt. Expert second opinion reviews are returned within 24–48 hours. Urgent pathways can be arranged for time-critical cases — discuss this with us at the onboarding stage.
What accreditations do your reporting specialists hold?
Our specialists are triple-accredited: SCMR (Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance), EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging), and BSCI (British Society of Cardiac Imaging) at Level 3 — the highest competency tier. This combination is held by very few cardiac imaging specialists globally, and all reporting cardiologists trained at leading UK academic centres including Oxford and London.
Our reach
Cardiac expertise,
wherever you practise
Access to Level 3 cardiac imaging specialists remains limited across much of Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Oxcardio bridges that gap — providing best-in-class, internationally accredited reporting directly to your institution.
Our tele-reporting model means your patients receive the same diagnostic standard as those in leading academic medical centres, without the cost or delays of international referral.
